At Patanjali Yogshala in Dehradun, India the 300 Hours Yoga Teacher Training followed by 200 Hours Yoga Teacher Training is a subsequent training contains a period of 26 days and 25 nights.  After successfully completion of your 300 Hours Yoga TTC you would have completed a total of 500 training hours &  you will be eligible for registration as Yoga teacher (RYT500) under Yoga Alliance USA and be internationally recognized as RYT500 yoga teacher.


Patanjali yogshala will make sure to integrate well-rounded studies of yoga and bringing spirituality into the teachings and practices to support  personal and spiritual growth of our students.  The curriculum integrate students with the essential subjects consisting of pranayama, shat kriya, asana practices, yoga philosophy, yoga anatomy, relaxation (Yoga Nidra) and meditation.  Patanjali Yogshala will focus on Hatha Yoga and Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga styles for asana practices.  Rest of 1 day in a week will give students a recovery after 6 day consecutive intense training.  

On this relaxation day, our school organizes a Half / Full day excursion for students that may involve visits to holly sites, waterfall or city exploration.  

The rest day usually falls on a Sunday, but may be shifted to a weekday to avoid tourists and traffic during high season in Dehradun.


During the course the accommodations, meals and excursions are inclusive in the course fee.

    • After the completion of 200 Hours Yoga TTC, you would most likely be looking for a 300 Hours Yoga TTC to upstep your studies. You may either take the 300 hours Yoga TTC from the same yoga school or from a different school with different styles and tradition
    • from where you have taken your 200 Hours Yoga TTC.

    • Students who want to change yoga schools for their 300 Hours Yoga TTC may experience some adjustment period.  Different yoga schools design their 200 Hours Yoga TTC curriculum in various different ways such as the difference in asana styles, yoga tradition, selection of class contents, focused subjects throughout the training, depth of each content covered in each class, even the same practices may be taught in slightly different style.

    • In 300 Hours Yoga TTC at Patanjali Yogshala, some students may find that they have touched several topics based on their 200 Hours Yoga TTC in previous school, while other students find that they never heard of many topics or was never introduced to several basic practices that is integrated with different practices at a more advanced level in the 300 Hours Yoga TTC, resulting in difficulty to follow some practices.  The change depends on each student’s yoga backgrounds. Therefore, it is important to understand the possible differences you may experience between different yoga schools and to keep an open-mind and be patient while going through your 300 Hours Yoga TTC at Patanjali Yogshala.

      300 Hours Yoga Course Completion Requirements:

      Patanjali Yogshala 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course in Dehradun, India:

      The 300 Hours of Yoga Training will be scheduled for 6 days in a week for comprehensive learning and practices and on the 7th day there will be beautiful  mountain sightseeing, Holy Places & Temples to Visits, and take time for related aspects of yoga training. In this alluring schedule, you could find this training as a process of transformation with joy. During your training, you will have an opportunity to live with nature.


      The Yoga Training schedule begins at 6:15 am with a short morning prayer followed by a pranayama session. After the prayer, there will be the morning session for the traditional Yoga Postures (Hatha-Yoga) before breakfast. Then we have two main sessions; one philosophy and the other yoga anatomy followed by lunch at noon 12:30 PM. After Lunch, there will be some self-study and Self-practice time before we begin the evening sessions of Vinyasa-Yoga Asanas followed by Relaxation  & Meditation. There will be some inspirational cultural activities, such as Satsang (devotional songs), lectures on yoga-related subjects, audios, and video lectures. Assignments are part of training and will be provided weekly for enhancement of in-depth knowledge of the subjects and experience through your yoga practices. During this yoga teacher training, you will be provided with three yoga vegetarian meals including fruit refreshments and green tea.
